Townhouses are rapidly increasing in number, particularly in the Salt Lake area, resulting in shrinking backyard spaces. In this case, we assisted the homeowner in maximizing their space by designing and installing a compact 8×8 cover for their hot tub. Collaborating closely with the homeowner and other trades involved in the project, we ensured that each step was executed seamlessly. Despite the hot tub being delivered ahead of schedule, we adapted swiftly and avoided any damage to the property.
The homeowner requested that the finish match the adjacent window trim, and we were fortunate to have a brown finish that was an exact match. However, the blades were not available in brown, so we had them custom-painted to perfectly complement the framework. Additionally, the homeowner wanted permanent louvered slats fabricated from our 2×8 beam material on the back side facing the neighbor, as well as a fabric drop screen on the adjacent side. This feature provides privacy or an open view, depending on the homeowner’s preference.
