This customer sought to cover their back patio in preparation for the installation of a new swim spa. Their primary concern was headroom, as the fascia was lower than usual, and they feared that the proximity of the cover to the swim spa stairs might make taller family members feel cramped or claustrophobic. To address this, we raised the overall height of the cover and extended it slightly, positioning the frame over the roof rather than attaching it directly to the fascia. This adjustment provided an additional two feet of headspace without compromising the structure’s integrity.
The finishes selected for the project were carefully chosen to complement the soffit and fascia, while the blades were designed to match the home’s brick. A partition beam running down the center of the cover was pre-wired to accommodate any future light fixture or fan, providing a clean, polished look that perfectly completes the outdoor patio space.
